Books on Event Driven methodology by LCI's president:

This book describes the principles for creating Event Driven, Customer Focused human and computer-based systems and the best organizational structure within which to run them. It describes a comprehensive methodology and the methods and models that will assist in obtaining the most efficient responses to a customer's needs.
The vast majority of enterprises today spend far too much of their resources applying the latest technology to the old systems of the past; in other words, creating faster old systems. This happens when we live with an existing human procedure or a computer system for a long time - we believe that it is essential to the business without questioning whether it is an aspect of the old design.
I wrote this book with the intention of empowering you, the reader, with the skills necessary to see through the old designs and to confidently understand and describe an enterprise's real business and its best implementation structure. This is the essential basis for creating Customer Focused Organizations.
Creating Customer Focused Organizations
Managing Event-Driven Organizations
This book is about rethinking the organizational structures that are typical in an enterprise today. It proposes a different view for both the technical and managerial structures that have emerged over the history of business. These historical structures are left over from the industrial age but are still common in most enterprises today.
Given an external customer stimulus entering an enterprise (an Event) there's a "natural" grouping of tasks that should occur to satisfy this stimulus. I call this grouping an Event Partition. Unfortunately this natural partitioning seems to lose its cohesiveness as an enterprise grows. It becomes either fragmented or bundled to form unnatural, classical departments and systems. This is a problem when customers are negatively affected by this structure and expect better customer service.
The new view I propose is based on Customer Business Events - the subject of Book1 above. This book takes the same concept and applies it to management of the business world and leads to what I call Event-Driven organizations.
